Welcome back. Paying the Bills Truly CAN Be Painless
© by Rebecca Hanson & Global Law of Attraction Training Center™
Ugh! The handful of bills feels like an armload of bricks. My stomach hurts and – darn! Where did that calculator go, anyway? I scrounge through my wallet for the latest ATM slip. My bank balance reflects my desire to perform this monthly ritual of Paying the Bills: nil. Yet there’s a tiny voice in the back of my mind asking, “Will I always feel this awful about Paying the Bills?”
I remember how I felt when my dad performed the ritual of Paying the Bills. The tension would escalate as he prepared the dining room table as his workspace. Out came the ledger, the check-book, three sharpened pencils, a big rubber eraser, a black-ink pen and a large calculator. I would run for my bedroom when the confrontation began: “Why did you spend so much on this?” “You didn’t write down how much check number 222 was for!” It seemed safer to hide in my room and blot out those sounds by listening to my radio.
When I got married, my husband carried on the ritual of Paying the Bills. He performed his duties with an even scarier tactic – icy silences, followed by a verbal blast three days after Paying the Bills. I never got used to this new, darker aspect of the ritual.
You might think that after 50+ years of experiencing Paying the Bills this way that the ritual MUST be acted out full of anxiety, fear, accusations and threats. Not so. I’m living proof that even if you’ve performed the ritual this way for as long as you can remember, you can change the entire mood of Paying the Bills.
Understanding how the Law of Attraction works to send me more of whatever I’m feeling, I decided that I wanted to feel good about Paying the Bills. I asked myself this question: When do I feel good about writing checks or spending money? The answer: When I’m shopping for things that I enjoy and appreciate. So, I decided to change the name of the ritual from Paying the Bills to Spending Money! As soon as I did that, my mood shifted.
At first, I had to remind myself that I’m Spending Money! and I LOVE Spending Money! I had to consciously replace the phrase Paying the Bills with Spending Money! Now it’s natural to think of the ritual as Spending Money!
Then I reminded myself of all the blessings I receive for the services and goods for which I’m Spending Money! I LOVE the way I’m able to speak with clients and friends, children and grandchildren who live far from me, by phoning them. So I LOVE Spending Money! to pay for the use of my telephone.
I LOVE the extra time I gain by the software enhancements my programmer has developed for my business, so I LOVE Spending Money! on programming.
I LOVE all the freedom I have to order my day for work and play, so I LOVE Spending Money! on secretarial and bookkeeping services.
I LOVE living in a beautiful luxurious condo, so I LOVE Spending Money! to live here.
Now I look forward to the privilege of Spending Money! Each week I perform this ritual with so much joy that by the time I’ve balanced four checking accounts, written a dozen or so checks, photocopied statements, stapled receipts, addressed and stamped all the envelopes, I am HIGH! I LOVE Spending Money!
The next time you begin the ritual of Paying the Bills, remember to think of what you are doing as Spending Money! Now that you know it’s possible to have fun Spending Money! the old ritual just won’t be the same.

The Facts You Should Know
About Answering the Question…
“So, What Do You Do?”
How to Make an Immediate Impact
When You Meet a Potential
Customer or Business Partner
by Tom LeBlanc PT
One way to answer the question is by telling them What You Do, for a living, such as:
- “I’m a physical therapist.”
- “I’m a computer programmer.”
- “I’m a health product distributor.”
- “I’m a network marketer.”
- “I’m an Internet marketer.”
When you respond with What You Do it tells them very little about what you really do. It may not spark their interest.
A more powerful way to introduce yourself is by sharing with them How What You Do Helps Others.
For example: You know how nowadays a lot of people are struggling with various degenerative diseases, aches and pains and generally not experiencing optimal health? What I do is introduce people to the concept of acid/alkaline balancing so that they can start to feel better and do more of what they enjoy doing. What about you?
Do you see how it paints a vivid picture of what you actually do that positively impacts the lives of others? This will more than likely result in them asking to know more about what it is you do.
Here is a simple formula you can use to design your own Personal Introduction Response. I used info that is personal and passionate to me. You can insert your own words that describe what it is you do and what you are passionate about. Here are the steps:
1. State the problem: (Health and Wellness Related) Rise of Degenerative Diseases, Increase in Back Pains,
(Business Related) Lack of Free Time, Higher Cost of Living, Lack of Job Security, Lack of Energy, etc.
2. Educate: Weave in a bit of interesting information such as a quote from a prominent person or agency. For example, “Were you aware that …..”
3. State the Solution. Explain How What You Do Helps Solve the Problem.. “What I do is….”
4. End with a Question, such as “What do you do” or “Are you happy with the stability of your present job?” or “Are you happy with the state of your health?”
Here is what it looks like when you put it all together:
(Poor Health) You know how nowadays a lot of people are struggling with various degenerative diseases, aches and pains and generally not experiencing optimal health? Were you aware that one prominent physician (Dr. Theodore Baroody) goes so far to say that “all illnesses have the same root cause… too much tissue acid waste in the body!” What I do is introduce people to the concept of acid/alkaline balancing so that they can start to feel better and do more of what they enjoy doing. Are you happy with the way you feel?
Here’s an example of how you can switch it from what you do to what your product does:
Decline in the Work Place or the Professional Environment: You know how nowadays after a person reaches age 40 it becomes more competitive in the work place? It’s common knowledge that the inevitable effects of the aging process have a significant impact on our performance. What this does is helps bring the body into a balance where peak performance is possible at any age. How easy is it for you to keep up the same pace you used to?
Here’s another example:
Exhausted (and Worn Out): You know how sometimes people get under so much stress they become frustrated because they become exhausted, worn-out and barely able to perform? They become distressed by the decline in their energy and vitality. Were you aware that one of the first signs of dehydration is fatigue? What this does is helps to optimize bodily function through balancing of the acid/alkaline level and through proper hydration… which has the effect of restoring energy and vitality and the pride of accomplishment. Is having an abundance of energy… enough to get you through even the toughest of days important to you?
Start now! Isn’t it time to take your business to the next level? When asked, tell them how what you do helps other people.

Want to Promote Your Business,
Product or Cause?
“Speak to their deepest wants and needs
and you will get their attention.”
by Tom LeBlanc
When you look for a product, a business, or an opportunity
are you interested in all the facts, figures and details
or in how it will change your life for the better?
It’s been said that most buying decisions are first made on an emotional level and then later justified by the logic and the details. If this is true and you are promoting ANY product or opportunity it is vital to understand how most people make their buying decisions. Let me ask you this: When you are looking for a product or an opportunity which do you care most about… the facts and details … or how the product or the opportunity can change the quality of your life?
Although this applies to both products and opportunities let’s first focus on products for this example. The Product’s Features include all the facts and figures and details. On the other hand, the Benefits (or Results) tell how the product can enhance the quality of your life. They include specifically how the product can help relieve certain painful symptoms you may have. Benefits/Results include how the product can make your life better, easier, more gratifying, or more fun.
When looking for a product and when making buying decisions most people want to know very specifically what’s in it for them and how will the product change and improve their quality of life. That’s why teaching Features versus Benefits is one of the first things I teach my new team members… those who are interested in building a successful business. So, let’s get into it.
Features include all the details about the product:
- Where and how was it made
- How it works
- What it’s made of
- Characteristics (colors, sizes, shapes, models, etc)
- How it was discovered
- How it is delivered
Have you ever been approached by someone promoting a product and they go on and on telling you all about their “great” product by listing all of its features? Some call this “feature dumping” and most people don’t have the time or the desire to listen to it. It’s annoying and makes me want to run the other way.
Although all of these facts and figures are important to know… people FIRST want to know if the product can address their specific wants and needs. And that’s where Benefits come in.
Benefits are described by benefit or results words that fall into two categories… Increase and Decrease words. Here are some of the Benefit/Results words and how they can be used to describe the benefits of a product:
- This product will bring your body back to a natural state of balance that will INCREASE your overall health and will OPTIMIZE your performance in all you do.
- This product can INCREASE your ability to manage stress.
- Drinking this water can help you to look and feel BETTER through proper hydration.
- It will improve your circulation.
- It will BOOST your energy and metabolism and give you enough energy to get through even the toughest of days.
- Because of its potent antioxidant qualities it will INCREASE your resistance to sickness and disease.
- It will IMPROVE your quality of life because you will be able to do things you haven’t been able to do in years.
- Because of the way it cleanses your colon it will DECREASE your risk for colon cancer.
- It will help you REDUCE unwanted pounds and SHRINK your waistline so that you can feel proud to wear that new outfit or business suit you want.
- It will help REDUCE or ELIMINATE stress, worry, fear and frustration because of the natural healthy state your body will assume.
- It will LESSEN your dependency on pharmaceutical drugs.
- It will REDUCE allergy-producing toxic household cleaning chemicals that will protect you, your family and the environment at the same time.
- It will EASE your mind knowing that spraying this on your fresh fruit and vegetables will REDUCE your chances of suffering from food poisoning or e-coli contamination.
- It will give you a HEALTHIER lifestyle by removing the dangerous oil-based pesticides that cover our fresh fruits and vegetables… the poisons that tap water do not remove.
NOTE: The above benefit statements specifically relate to a product I promote. Because I know and understand and have experienced the product it was easy for me to list the benefits. So, all you have to do is think of your product and create Benefit Statements that describe what it will do for your customers. List all the ways your product can help people.
By the way, understanding Features versus Benefits also applies to promoting a business or an opportunity. Speak in terms of how being a part of your business will help change their lifestyle, such as:
- LOW risk, low initial investment makes it affordable.
- It will INCREASE your income potential.
- It will ELIMINATE the need for employees, billing, and therefore will save you time.
- It has a LOWER operating cost than any other business model.
- It will give you the feeling that you are a part of a team and family that you can count on for help and support.
So, list all the Benefits of your business in such a way that your potential business partners will know what’s in it for them and how your business or opportunity can specifically benefit them by addressing their specific wants or needs. But… wait a minute….. How will you know what their specific wants or needs are? Good Question!!! Because it’s all about asking specific questions that uncover their wants and needs. And that will be the topic of my next blog post.

Are you using attraction marketing to build your MLM business? As a network marketer, don’t you wish for a scenario whereby enthusiastic prospects are eagerly calling you to find out more about your business opportunity and to inquire about how they can join your team?
That surely would be an ideal situation. Meanwhile, for masters of attraction marketing, such a scenario is neither a utopia nor a mere wishful thinking.
When people like you as a person and are interested in what you’re doing with your business, they usually keep up to date with all your activities, hoping to learn from you. Now, what is attraction marketing? Does it work, and or how does it work? In what ways can you incorporate attraction marketing strategies into your network marketing business?
Attraction marketing is primarily concerned with providing valuable contents to your potential customers (and even existing ones), such that they’ll count themselves fortunate to know you. And as a result of the valuable information you supply them, these prospects in turn are often willing to consider any product or program coming from you or recommended by you.
Attraction marketing is a way of leveraging on trust and goodwill. For that reason, I must warn you early on that the benefits of attraction marketing are usually not reaped instantly, any more than we can make people to trust us from day one.
Therefore if you decide to implement attraction marketing in your MLM business (which I strongly recommend), then know that you are embarking on a long term strategy that will slowly but surely build you a strong customer base and loyal following.
In attraction marketing, you are to shift your focus away from immediate sales or recruiting. The main idea is not to concentrate on sales, but rather to first create a friendly atmosphere that engenders trust.
You should focus on providing resources and training which benefit your PROSPECTS FIRST! Now, that may sound a bit strange to some who have become enamored with traditional prospecting methods.
But to succeed in applying attraction marketing techniques, you must first learn about people’s purchasing philosophy and change your focus. When people patronize your business because they have begun to trust you, your company will grow at a deeper level and at a more accelerated rate.
Does it work? Well, why else is it getting more and more popular in the online marketplace? The fact is, this strategy has always worked for every online marketer willing to go for the long haul.
When fully and patiently implemented, attraction marketing guarantees bigger long term growth and profits for your business. It will keep willing prospects coming to you, eager to get registered.
The basic approach in attraction marketing is rather simple. It revolves around providing valuable information to your prospects. The idea is to demonstrate to them that you truly and fully understand the business you are into, and that you understand it a bit more than the other marketers they might have encountered in the past.
Now, this claim of yours is only proven when the information you give solves practical problems for your prospects.
Further, you follow this up by teaching them aspects of their business they may not have thought of. Of course, this calls for two things on your part: (1) that you have a clear knowledge of what your prospects are trying to achieve with their businesses and (2) that you are knowledgeable enough to comment on ways they can do it better.
Marketers who are perceived as placing a high value on the interests of their clients often have a huge loyal following. That is attraction marketing.
Ever since this marketing concept got crystallized a few years ago, it’s proven to be the most effective method of prospecting for both online and offline customers. And it works in every industry segment.
As a Network Marketing Business Builder being able to attract daily targeted MLM leads to your business is the key to your MLM Success. How would you like to attract 50-100 leads to your MLM business daily?

What is the Ideal Business for you?
by Tom LeBlanc
I am sure you will agree that finding “The Ideal Business” would be a good thing to find — especially during this period of a seemingly crumbling economy. The ideal business is one that is ideal or right for you. It’s one that is a good fit for you. So, what’s ideal for someone else may not be ideal for you.
The ideal business has little to do with specific companies or opportunities or products or teams. It has everything to do with YOU… and what you want in a business. It has to do with finding a business that is “Ideal” or “Right” for you. Here are four steps that can empower you in your search for “the ideal business” for you:
- Start with a compelling emotional reason to find your “Ideal Business.”. Many call this your “Why.” Without a good reason for being in business you will more than likely be overcome by the day-to-day challenges of setting up and running a business. Your “Why” must be stronger than all the difficulties you will encounter. Your “why” must drive you and get you going in the morning.
- Identify what your “Ideal Business” will look like, feel like and be like. If you were to take archery training you would learn to identify the target and aim at it. The same is true for all of our goals and dreams in life. We must determine “exactly” what we want before going for it. Identifying what we want is the first step in activating the powerful force called the Law of Attraction. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to identify what we want… when we have no idea of what’s out there. However, we do find it easy to identify what we don’t like or what we don’t want. So first, make a list of all the things you do not like about business and some of the businesses you have been involved in. Then, flip or reverse each one to get a clear list of what you do want in a business. Learn more about this process in my post: “How to attract your ideal business through Law of Attraction.”
- Believe you can find your “Ideal Business.” John Assaraf, said in The Secret, that “beliefs are ten thousand times more powerful than desires.” So, just wanting to find your “Ideal business” may not be enough. You must convert your desires to strong beliefs. Beliefs can either empower us or limit us. Limiting beliefs are called blocks and they can hold us back from achieving our goals and dreams.
- Find a mentor or a coach to help you zero in on your ideal business. We all have blind spots and limiting beliefs. I suggest you find a coach who is well-versed in Law of Attraction. Together you can zero in on what your ideal business will look like… according to your specifications.

If you speak their language…
they are more likely to become a customer or join you as a business partner.
Whether you are building a network marketing, MLM, direct sales or a conventional business it’s vital to understand who you are talking with and how they process information and make their decisions. When training my marketing team I strongly recommend that they learn and apply this powerful information if they are serious about building their business.
Post 1 of 4, in this series, looked at the “Visual” style. In Post 2 of 4 we outlined the “Auditory-digital” style. I am sure you noticed how different they process information and how diverse they are in many ways. In Post 3 of 4 we talked about the “Auditory Style.” In this final post of the 4-part series we will get a feel for the Kinesthetic personality style.
The Kinesthetic Style
Part 4 of 4
Strong Skills:
- They are great with details
- They love learning and taking lots of seminars.
- They tend to ask a lot of question to express their caring (sometimes too many.)
- They love conferences.
- They are relationship, feeling and communication orientated.
- They are more relaxed than other styles
- Easy to get along with
- team players
- very loyal and dedicated
- dependable
- avoid conflicts
- Very patient
- Nurturing and supporting
- They make good teachers, nurses and other health care workers.
- They like to stay in touch.
- They spend more time listening than talking.
Weaknesses:
- They may tend to procrastinate.
- They may have a tendency to be more sensitive and talk things personally.
- They tend to buy into other people’s excuses.
- They would rather submit than confront
- They make decisions slower than some because they will seek the advice of others before deciding on something.
Likes:
- They enjoy doing things with people.
- They like relationships.
- They like helping people.
- They like to “go with the flow” versus rigidly strive for goals.
- Harmony
- Animals
- Peace, love and nature
- Volunteering
- They like getting to know people.
- They like to please people.
- They like to dress casual. Very conservative.
- They like to smile.
- They like security.
- They like to have help and support from other team members.
Dislikes:
- They dislike risks.
- They dislike a lot of changes.
- They do not like loud, pushy or obnoxious people.
- They don’t like confrontations.
- They don’t like being rushed or hurried.
Key words (that they use and relate to):
- connect
- feel
- play
- hugs
- warmly
- family
Key phrases: (that they use and relate to):
- That feels right to me.
- Come to grips with
- Let’s touch base.
- Let’s connect.
- Take care.
- Get a handle on it.
- I feel strongly about this.
- I have a gut feeling about this.
- Let’s hang out together.
- Let’s do this together.
What motivates them? They enjoy gatherings, pot-lucks, team events. They strive for the acceptance of others. It’s important for them to know that you will be by their side helping them along the way. The phrase, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care” applies to this group. They feel strongly about that concept.
When talking with an kinesthetic personality be sure to ask about their family. Don’t get to the point too quickly. They will enjoy showing you family photos when you are visiting with them in person. Allow them to take the time they need to make a decision. Be pleasant with them… not firm and forceful. Let them know if there is a routine step-by-step system available to them. Let them know that their people-related skills are important in business. Ask a lot of questions and draw their opinions out of them. They don’t generally verbalize them quickly. Take your time with them. And be sure to be a good listener. Bea gently, non-threatening and sincere.
Each of us has a mix of all four personality styles although have one that we prefer and operate in most of the time. When we learn to recognize other styles we can relate better to them by adapting our style. In other words, if you love facts, figures and details realize that everyone does not want to know them. Others may just want to hear about the overall picture and not the details. Details will turn them off. On the other hand, if you are of the auditory style and you are talking with some who loves details (auditory-digital style) you will want to have some details you can refer them to, such as reports, studies, etc.
So, when we learn to exercise all four of our styles we will be able to adapt and relate better to others of different styles by speaking their language.

“You may think that finding
the right network marketing or home based business
has to be frustrating…
like putting a square peg in a round hole.
It’s not your fault and it DOES NOT have to be that way.”
One of many reasons may be responsible for that feeling of frustration. Frustration comes from being involved with a business that is not “Ideal” for you.
- The timing may not be good.
- The business may require you to approach all your family and friends… and you don’t feel comfortable in doing that.
- The business may require you to buy things every month, whether or not you want or need them, in order to qualify for a check or to maintain your position.
- The list goes on and on…
I have found myself, many times, in businesses that were not a good fit for me. I remember the frustration and pain. I remember the “fear of failure.” Recently, I learned that “there is no failure… only learning experiences.”
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could actually attract your “Ideal” business?
Well, I have good news. It is possible. You may have noticed that many of my blog posts have taught about the Law of Attraction. There are powerful tools that can assist you to harness the Law of Attraction to attract your “Ideal” anything.
What I do is provide special training and coaching……that empowers YOU to literally design and attract a home based business, according to YOUR specifications, SO THAT YOU can enjoy what YOU do and finally get what YOU want out of life.”

Have you discovered the “New Twitter” yet? You probably have seen the announcements on your Twitter pages.
I like the provision that allows us to send videos directly from YouTube. Here is how it works:
1. Navigate to your video on YouTube.

2. Look below the video for the “Share” button and click on it.
3. Then click on the “Twitter” button. This will take you to a page where you can edit the text that will be tweeted.
Tweet it from YouTube.
4. Go to your Twitter Profile page and you will find it.
5. Notice that there is a small image that looks like a piece of filmstrip. This indicates that a video is available.
6. Click on that little image and the video will appear in the space to the right. Pretty cool!

What motivates them? They want to have a business that is FUN. They enjoy attending events with a lot of “fun” activities.
When talking with an auditory personality allow them to talk yet gently guide the direction of the conversation because they tend to veer off the subject. Pay attention to them. Speed up the conversation pace because they talk and move faster than the visual and auditory-digital styles. Keep an upbeat and fun pace. Support their dreams. Ask them for their opinions. BEWARE: Don’t overwhelm them with too much detail. They don’t want too many specifics… just the overall picture.
Each of us has a mix of all four personality styles although have one that we prefer and operate in most of the time. When we learn to recognize other styles we can relate better to them by adapting our style. In other words, if you love facts, figures and details realize that everyone does not want to know them. Could it be possible that the water or other beverages you are drinking could literally be sabotaging your success? Yes, it’s true! Certain “qualities” of the beverages you drink influence your health, your energy level and ability to think clearly. They influence your productivity and your ability to conduct your business… They literally control your level of success in not only your business but your personal life.
URGENT!… Check out this Beverage Chart and learn how what you are drinking is influencing your success. You may be shocked! Here is an eBook, “The Body Balance” that explains the beverage chart. Here is a hint: Drinks that have an acidic pH harm us. The ORP is a measure of the products antioxidant quality. The higher the “positive” number the worst it is for you and the more “negative” values have antioxidant qualities, like vitamin C. Please let me know, by way of a comment, if you have any questions.
FINAL NOTE: Look at this online demo and let me know what shocked you the most about it:
