Welcome back.
“Succeeding in Business can be like trying to solve a Rubix Cube. Find a mentor.” Tom LeBlanc
“Learn from the experts. you will not live long enough to figure it all out by yourself.” Brian Tracy
I am sure that there are many others out there who have had some difficult times finding the right network marketing or Internet marketing business. My road was rough. The thing that was so frustrating was all the trial and error…mostly error. There are so few leaders who can lead others to success. Remember from my recent post..“What People Really Want.” People are not looking for a product or a company but a leader.
Allow me to share a story with you that relates to the product I am about to review for you.
Several years ago I bought a Rubik’s Cube. I put a good bit of time into trying to solve it. Sometimes it seemed like I was getting very close… only to take one little wrong turn and have to start completely over. I heard that there are something like 519,024,039,293,878,272,000 possible arrangements of the individual cubes. Although it seems impossible I know of many people who have solved it without help. And that is amazing.
I too learned to solve it… but only after found someone who had already done it. I found a mentor and I walked in his shoes. This particular mentor wrote a book about how to solve the cube. I followed step-by-step and actually did it. Then I even got where I could do it in about a minute without using the book. I could have never been able to do it without a mentor. And I liken solving the cube to learning how develop a successful Internet or Network marketing business. So, I guess the moral of this story is “find a mentor” or leader who can show you the way. It will greatly reduce the learning curve.

We must use our words carefully.
I am sure most of us have heard the saying,
“Sticks and stones will hurt my bones but words (names) can never hurt me.”
We said it, as kids, when we were verbally insulted. We told ourselves that words did not hurt us… BUT THEY DID. And they still do.
I conducted an experiment with my daughter… years ago to see how mere words influence us. It involved a technique called applied kinesiology. Here is how it went:
“Now, Janette, I am going to test your arm strength. Hold it out to the side and hold as I push down.” This is called an indicator muscle and it can tell us about what is happening in our system.”
I continued, “Now, I want yo to totally understand that what I am about to say is NOT TRUE. I am just going to say it to demonstrate a point. Your arm strength is strong not and now I am going to say something… but I AM JUST KIDDING, OKAY. Again, what I a am about to say is NOT TRUE. Ready?”
“Okay, Janette, I just checked the mail and got a report from your school. And guess what? You are flunking three of your classes? Now hold your arm out to the side so I can test it again. WOW, it’s a lot weaker, isn’t it? You can hardly hold it up.”
This illustrates the power of words. The words we say can be encouraging or destructive… even when we say, “I’m just kidding.” or “Just giving you a hard time.”
So, if you are working with business partners or a team or down-line be careful of your words. Words either BUILD UP or TEAR DOWN the people we speak them to.
In a future post I’ll describe what I discovered about how our body responds to negative words and even negative thoughts. You will see how our bodies actually undergo immediate physical changes (within seconds) in terms of muscle weakness patterns and bony misalignment in response to what he think or hear people say.

Here are few of the topics I intend to cover on upcoming posts:
Book review:“The Biology of Belief” Learn how belief influences us at a cellular level.
“Sticks and Stones can Break My Bones but Words will Never Hurt Me” — NOT SO! Convincing proof that even jestful words can negatively impact those we speak them to. Why we need to be careful of what we say to our friends, family and business associates.
Have you ever been “torqued?” I will reveal how stressful thoughts actually cause torsions in our body that influence a range of things. I call it the Pelvic Torsion Effect. (from a physical therapist’s point of view)

Have you ever noticed how some people always see the negative aspects of people and places while others see the positive things about people and cities? I developed an illustration of why this works this way. Here it is:
Gather with a few people. Anywhere will work. Ask them to take 5 seconds to quickly look around and find three things that are blue. Then ask them to close their eyes and point out three things that are red. Most will only be able to remember the blue things and not the red. Why is that? Because they were looking for blue.
I heard a story that further illustrates this tendency we all have. A man, with his car full of clothes and all his belongings stopped at the entrance of a city to ask a man “What kind of people live around here?” The wise man at the entrance replied, “What kind of people lived where you came from?” The driver said, “Thieves, scoundrels, liars and cheaters.” The wise man then said, “Well, those are the types of people you will find living here.”
We tend to find what we are looking for. Whether we look for the positive or the negative in others we will always find it.

“Attraction Marketing is Attracting those People who are eagerly seeking the ‘value’ you are offering.” Tom LeBlanc
Intro: First, it’s important to understand that there are basically two schools of thought. Let’s refer to them as the “old school” and the “new school.” Here is my take on it.
Old School Methods consist of leading with (talking about) your product or opportunity as soon as possible. In other words, they talk with everyone they know about what they are doing. They talk about their company, the products and the compensation plan. Some will be interested but usually most are not interested because they just were not looking for what you have when you approached them.
The New School (Attraction Marketing) is all about NOT leading with your company or product. Instead, the attraction marketer leads with value. Their goal is to provide people with valuable articles, videos and other types of training.
It’s a proven fact that would-be distributors or business partners want to get involved with people they like and trust. Even more so, they gravitate to those who are leaders in their field… people who can lead them to the fulfillment of their goals and dreams. The attraction marketer understands that by being a leader and providing valuable training (often free training) they will gain trust and respect. It’s called “Attraction Marketing” because these marketers tend to “attract” people to them. And not only people … but people who are interested in what they teach and people who are looking for the products or opportunities they offer.
Let’s face it– which is more attractive: trying to convince your friends and family to buy your products and join your company or providing people valuable content that attracts just the right people to you and what you offer?
In summary the “old school” method leads with products and opportunities while the “new school” of attraction marketing leads with value that people are looking for. In the old school we “approach” people while in the new school they approach the attraction marketer because they have something seekers are actually looking for. Which do you think is easier? However, we must not forget that the old school has many good points. We must not throw out one and totally replace it with another.
As a Twitter user do you feel different when someone pitches you their product or when they provide you with some valuable information? Both methods work but the new school methods seem to work easier and with much less rejection.
A good example of a Tweeter who does a superb job of attraction on her blog is Vicki Berry. She has numerous “core” articles and videos. She has a unique approach of offering valuable content yet providing the important factors of one-on-one friendship building and trust-building aspects of the old school. You will find that she takes the best of both schools.

I am going to share with you something that I have never shared or written about… until now. I have kept it bottled up for over 30 years and decided to release it now because I feel people are open-minded enough to accept it.
For over thirty years, as a physical therapist, I have been using a method I call (for lack of a better description) positive expectancy or positive intention. I have found that when patients do not feel like doing what they need to do to get better when we enter the room with a positive expectancy or a positive intention they usually cooperate. This has worked especially well when I actually “see” them as happy to see me and cooperating with me.
I have seen it both ways: We can either approach someone with a positive expectancy as responding favorably or we can say, “Oh, they will never do this or that. They will never get out of bed and walk with me. They will not want to work with me in my business.”
In the last few years I have learned and practiced the Law of Attraction (one of my posts that will bring you up to speed in the understanding of Law of Attraction). Now I see why this positive expectancy or positive intention works so well. It has to do with the vibes or feelings we are radiating. These vibes form a field that emanates from us several feet. (Sometime I’ll share with you an experiment I did years ago that demonstrates the strength of the field that surrounds each of us.)
Oh boy! You may be saying that “This is sounding a little weird… talking about vibes and energy fields.” I had better share my experiment with you NOW while I still have your attention. Here it is.
We can listen to our electrical fields: Prior to going to physical therapy school I found an article that helped me build a small amplifier (technically called an operational amplifier) to audibly listen to muscle contractions. Three surface electrodes were placed on the skin over a muscle. When the muscle contracted the electrodes picked up the small electrical signals. It’s much like an EKG that measures the heart rhythms. But in this case, the signal was used to power an audio tone generator that increased in pitch, or frequency, as the strength of the muscle contraction signal increased. The stronger the muscle contracted– the higher the pitch of the device. This method later became known as biofeedback and was used for relaxation and muscle reeducation.
An experiment that paved the way to an understanding of the Law of Attraction: While in PT school I further developed the apparatus. In 1974 I experimented with the electronic components to increase the gain or sensitivity of the device. First, I noticed that when I touched one of the electrodes the audio sound generator would increase in pitch. Then, as I increased the sensitivity of the device I found that I did not have to touch the electrode but hold my hand a few inches away from it to get a reaction. In other words, it responded to my electrical field from a distance.
As I continued to change components to increase the sensitivity even more it got to the point where I was able to get it to respond as I walked into the room– about 10-12 feet from the electrodes.
This convinced me that we radiate some kind of energy to at least 10-12 feet and probably further if you had more sensitive equipment. Now, with my recent understanding of Law of Attraction I realize that our moods, feelings, intentions, expectations and emotions truly do produce vibes (or vibrations) that others can subconsciously pick up. And that is what makes Law of Attraction work.
Homework: Between now and the rest of your life be aware that your moods, feelings, intentions, and expectations cause an energy field that can be picked by others. When we think a certain way about what might happen or how someone will respond to us they pick up on it. Ask you the question: “If they could read my mind or my feelings what would I want them to receive?” It’s almost like Everyone Can Read Your Mind.
Use Positive Intention or Positive Expectancy when you approach people for your business and if it’s a good fit they will most likely respond favorably.
What are “Limiting Beliefs?” They are beliefs that reside well below your conscious awareness — in your subconscious mind. They have to do with “who” you are… or even more accurately “who you think you are.” These limiting beliefs have an incredibly strong influence over what you achieve in your life or your business. Here are some examples:
I don’t deserve to be successful
I don’t think I can really succeed in business
No matter what I do, it’s just not enough
I don’t think I can handle a lot of money
Congruency: When your deep-seated beliefs are different that what you are saying consciously — the deep beliefs will always win. In other words, if you are saying affirmations about prosperity and success and your subconscious beliefs are saying something different you will have trouble reaching your goals. Because there is resistance at the subconscious level.
Some people wonder why the Law of Attraction doesn’t seem to be working in their lives. Law of Attraction states that what you focus on or give attention to will be attracted to you. But, this only works when there is congruency between your deep-seated beliefs and what you are focusing on and trying to attract. Here is a test you can try: Say a positive affirmation and notice how you feel. If you feel really good about it you are probably on target to receive it. however, if you feel uneasy, or in some way negatively about it, you may have a belief that is opposing it.
Soften the resistance: One way to soften the resistance is instead of saying “I am wealthy.” say “I am in the process of being wealthy.” It’s more believable.
Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a powerful way to overcome emotional blocks and limiting beliefs at a deep level. It involves gently tapping on various acupressure points while stating certain things to your subconscious mind. Gary Craig developed the technique and offers his Basic EFT Manual FREE of charge.
Summary: If you are wondering why Law of Attraction is not working for you consider that a deep-seated belief may be holding you back. Which ever way you want to use to clear the emotional blocks or limiting beliefs it will be worth your effort. This will pave the way to success in anything you want to accomplish. All the best you you!

Have you ever wondered “Which is the best?”
Best Bible Version: I remember asking a pastor, many years ago, “Which is the best version of the Bible?.. Because there are so many to choose from.” He responded by saying, “The best one is the one you will read.”
World’s Best Exercise: As a physical therapist I have adopted the above response and modified it to say to my friends and patients, “The world’s best exercise is the one you will consistently do.”
The Best Business Opportunity: It even works with this subject. “The best business opportunity is the one you will commit to and faithfully do.”

Is Your Goal Setting Backfiring? Are your Prayers being Answered?
Have you ever wondered why you keep attracting the same type of people into your business or the same type of people into long-term relationships? Well, you are not alone because we all have taken turns doing this.
The GOOD NEWS is that you can learn how to attract more of what you want and less of what you don’t want into your life and into your business. It’s Step 1 of the three step process of deliberate attraction as described in the Law of Attraction. It has to do with clarity or becoming very clear about exactly what we want– specific goals. Here is how it works.
Three Culprits of Goal-Setting (or prayer) Failure: There are three little words, in the English language, that can lead you to attract what you don’t want. They are:
Don’t,
Not, and
No
I am not saying you shouldn’t ever use them because sometimes they serve a useful function in our communication. The time you want to be cautious about using these words is when you are talking about personal or business goal setting. Those three words will literally sabotage your goal setting process.
I want you to understand why those words must be used with caution. First, you must consider that the first premise of the Law of Attraction is that we always get more or whatever we give your attention, energy and focus to.Every time we use the words don’t, not, and no … in that very moment, we just brought attention to what we don’t want to bring attention to.
Here are some examples:
I don’t want you to think of the Statue of Liberty. What did you just think of?
Don’t think of a snowman. Did you think of a snowman?
Don’t think about Santa Clause
When you tell your kids “Don’t forget… what are you bringing attention to?… forgetting.
Here is an example the devastating effects of using the word “No.” Go to Google and do a search for “no football” and see what you get in the search results.
How about the word “Not?” Tell your dog “We are NOT going to the park” and tell me what his tail does as he runs for the car.
So, if you find that those three words have been sabotaging your goal setting by having you focus on the wrong things… how do you change it?
The Tool for Correction
Take a blank piece of paper and draw a vertical line from top to bottom in the middle of the sheet. Now draw a horizontal line to make a large “T” on the page. List the things that you don’t want on the left side of the “T.” I know…. I just used “don’t” in the last sentence. We must learn the acceptable usage of the words.
At the top of the other side of the “T” write, “What I do want.”
Now, go down the list of what you don’t want and ask yourself the question of each…. “So, what do I want?” Write that on the other side of the vertical line. Here is an illustration from my YouTube Law of Attraction Video-2. Although this example is about business goals it could just as easily apply to any goal or prayer request.
Michael Losier, a leading Law of Attraction expert, calls this the “Contrast to Clarity Exercise,” where contrast is what you don’t want and clarity is becoming clear about what you do want. Becoming clear about what we want is the first step (of three steps) to achieving your goals or getting your prayers answered.
